Oomiwa shrine②


Hello!
In this post, I will introduce hidden gems in Oomiwa shrine.

In the last post, mainly I explained main area, but in this post I will talk about the back of the premises.

Kusuri Michi

If you climb down from worship hall, you can find sigh of “kusuri michi”.
“Kusuri” means “medicine”. “Michi” means “road”.
So, “kusuri michi” means “medicine road”.

Near this road, there are many herbs.
When you walk this road, you can feel mysterious atmosphere.

Ichiki-Shimahime shrine

After you climb up “kusuri michi”, you can see this shrine.
It is called “Ichiki-Shimahime shrine”.

“Ichiki Shimehime” is goddess in Japanese myth.
This goddess is important for water and ocean.

You can reach this shrine after crossing the small bridge.
This shrine exists next to the pond.

Sai shrine

When you pass the “Ichiki Shrine”, please go straight down the street.
You can feel quite atmosphere there.

Soon after going straight, you will arrive at Sai shrine.

In this shrine, god for curing sickness is worshiped.

This god is called so strong and powerful, so this god is worshiped for curing sickness.
